Tea is one of the most popular drinks in the world. It has many varieties and has a lot of nutritional value. If you want to get the nutritional value of tea, the tea leaves must be pure. 

There are good quality tea leaves in the market as well as adulterated tea leaves. There are many tea leaves that contain dyes or other chemicals. According to health experts, people are suffering from various serious diseases related to nervous system, digestive system and respiratory system due to daily consumption of junk food.

So it is important to make sure that the tea leaves you buy from the market are genuine or adulterated. According to NDTV news, there is a very simple way to identify adulterated tea leaves. The way is given by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Methods of detecting adulteration in tea leaves

* First spread some tea leaves on a filter paper.

* Then sprinkle some water on the tea leaves and paper.

* Now wash the filter paper thoroughly under the tap.

* Now hold the wet paper in front of the light and carefully observe the spots on the paper.

* If the tea leaves are adulterated, they will leave black or brown spots on the paper. If the tea leaves are unadulterated, no stain will appear on the filter paper.
